JM:

While raw chicken is considered an acceptable menu item in some cultures, there is actually a high rate of Salmonella contamination in raw poultry of any kind. If you've eaten raw chicken recently, I'd pay attention to any symptoms beyond the norm, as it could indicate food poisoning.

Commonly a bit or two wouldn't likely cause serious contamination, so hopefully this was an accidental tasting of the bird's raw meat.

Sorry, but the only recipe I have for raw chicken calls for spitting it out and dumping the rest of the plate in the trash.

Dear Pamela,

I noticed you talking about beef, but might you have a recipe for raw chicken? After tasting some recently, I just can't get that underdone, chewy-like-gristle sensation out of my mouth. Any rosy pink suggestions for chicken tar tar?
